Cell Pack Solutions get a lot of customers asking if we can refurbish or replace the battery pack in their piece of equipment. This is usually because the piece of equipment still works well and just needs a new battery, which is often unavailable or expensive to purchase from the original manufacturer.
The refurbishment service we offer basically involves looking at specifications of a piece of equipment and designing a new battery pack that normally matches or exceeds the performance of the existing system. We try to reuse all the original components as best as possible so the equipment is provided back to the customer in the best possible condition. Sometimes because of the nature of the equipment it maybe slightly damaged because the difficultly accessing the battery pack and circuit board.
Our technical department enjoy the challenge of refurbishing all manner of equipment from horse clipper batteries to dive torches, however there are some systems and equipment we can no longer refurbish that offer value for money to our customers. Power tool battery pack refurbishment is no longer offered because of the difficultly acquiring the correct cells and the cost to our customers not really providing a tangible benefit compared to the purchase of a new pack. We also don't undertake any jobs using rechargeable lithium.
